A prehistoric valley in the Eggipus Dimension filled with a river of tar and fossils.

In-game description

Tar Valley is a map in Crash Team Rumble, based on the level Fossil Fueled from Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. The map was heavily modified as a mini-game called "Dig It!" in Party Mode when season 2 launched.

The map uses the musical themes of Blast to the Past (It's About Time) for Competitive Match and Bone Yard (N. Sane Trilogy) for Party Mode.

Relic Stations[]

Slow Shrooms[]

  • "Each shroom slows and damages enemies."

Trivia[]

  • On September 20th 2023, the Slow Shrooms relic stations became disabled due to being bugged, and Aku Aku was available almost instantly. [1] According to Toys for Bob, a permanent fix for the Slow Shrooms would become available in Season 3. [2]
    • On October 18th 2023, the Tar Valley map became disabled in Competitive mode; according for Toys For Bob, this was done due to player feedback about the map incomplete without the Slow Shrooms.[3] During this time, the map could still be accessed in Private Match, in Practice Match and in the Dig It gamemode in Party Mode. Upon the launch of Season 3 on the 7th of December, the map was once again made available in competitive mode with bug fixes made to the Slow Shrooms.
