This talk page is only for discussing improvements to the page "Quantum Masks".
It is not the place for general discussion about the topic of this article.

Is there a source containing the names of these masks Kapuna-Wa and Ika-Ika in written form so we know they're spelled like that?  I know they were mentioned in the interview Youtube user CanadianGuyEh did with Toys For Bob, but that was out loud so we'd have no idea on the spelling. Ntropydude (talk) 17:15, June 24, 2020 (UTC)

The interview transcript can be found here. -- Swordster Talk! 17:25, June 24, 2020 (UTC)
So yeah, we don't know how they'll be officially spelled. Ntropydude (talk) 18:57, June 24, 2020 (UTC)
...we do, that's an official transcript. Here's another interview. -- Swordster Talk! 22:55, June 24, 2020 (UTC)
That interview article you keep trusting is three months old. Most of the articles writing the name as "Kapuna-Wa" rather than "Kupuna-Wa" are newer than that. That's why I kept changing the name in that page. I mentioned earlier the subtitles for this video where Lou Studdert, producer at Toys for Bob, spoke about the game. If the channel wouldn't be a verified one, I wouldn't trust it. But it is a verified one from PlayStation. CAJH (talk) 06:43, September 14, 2020 (UTC)
I won't edit the article anymore before the release of the game, but I wanted to tell what my edits were absed on. And once the game is released, we will find out how that name is truly written. CAJH (talk) 08:24, September 14, 2020 (UTC)
The first has "Kapunala" and "Eeka Eeka" and the second has "Kapuna-Wa" and "Ika-Ika" as we have currently on the page. Ntropydude (talk) 02:54, June 25, 2020 (UTC)

Akano[]

I bet his powers must involve super strength and super size. what do you think? Shrekyardigans (talk) 16:22, August 27, 2020 (UTC)

Quantum Masks' own articles[]

When it's the 10th of September, maybe the Quantum Masks Lani-Loli, Kupuna-Wa, Ika-Ika and Akano should each have their own separate article pages when it's the 10th of September. Bluelectro 2.9 (talk) 06:13, September 7, 2020 (UTC)

As it stands, no. -- Swordster Talk! 15:37, September 7, 2020 (UTC)
Are we getting more news Sept. 10? We don't yet know enough about these guys to give them their own articles, and I'm not confident we will three days from now, either. Salmonistan (talk) 13:30, September 7, 2020 (UTC)
Because I live in Australia and we have the time in front of America's time which is behind.

SPOILER ALERT: AKANO'S POWERS ARE REVEALED! https://www.gameinformer.com/2020/09/11/an-exclusive-look-at-crash-bandicoot-4-its-about-time Shrekyardigans (talk) 07:10, September 12, 2020 (UTC)

Thaswordster may claim that the article is not reliable enough, but this video is definitely not fake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVmsII1Psv8 CAJH (talk) 11:15, September 12, 2020 (UTC)

Agreed, the only thing from this we can't prove is the "dark matter" stuff. Salmonistan (talk) 18:46, September 12, 2020 (UTC)
While Thaswordster didn't consider the article alone reliable enough, together both the article and the video stand better. I think Game Informer should have included that video in the article and not just download it into YouTube. CAJH (talk) 12:17, September 13, 2020 (UTC)

names and the description[]

It's Kupuna-Wa, not Kapuna-Wa.

Lani-Loli is the Space Mask

the name has now been fixed. Btw sign your talk posts. -- Swordster Talk! 18:25, September 13, 2020 (UTC)
Both producers from Toys for Bob and people behind PlayStation's official social media keep writing it as Kapuna-Wa, not Kupuna-Wa. What kind of places are you using as sources? CAJH (talk) 20:39, September 13, 2020 (UTC)
Social media is not official, neither are captions from the State of Play which have plenty of other typos in it as well. This Activision blog post calls her Kupuna-Wa, as does this one. It's also more likely to be "Kupuna-Wa" because it is derived from Hawai'ian "kupuna wahine" ("grandmother"). Hope this answers your question! Salmonistan (talk) 14:16, September 14, 2020 (UTC)
I have to admit I forgot those articles even existed. But that means we have to write "Ika-Ika" back into "Ika Ika" as well, because that's what reads in those articles. And I never thought that Wikipedia or FANDOM don't treat all "verified" tokens in Facebook, Twitter or YouTube as signs of reliable information. Although I do understand if social media without verified tokens aren't trusted. CAJH (talk) 14:27, September 14, 2020 (UTC)
But because of those articles, I even decided to fix those names in the Wikipedia article written in my mother language (which is not English). CAJH (talk) 14:56, September 14, 2020 (UTC)
Dude, Lani-Loli is the Quantum Mask of "Phase", not "Space". What we learnt from Lou Studdert, Lani-Loli allows you to phase shift objects in and out of existence. Bluelectro 2.9 (talk) 10:03, September 14, 2020 (UTC)

Akano name[]

Can we edit this page now? I wanna change Akano's named from "'Akano" to "Akano"!

Bmwfan2015 (talk) 17:31, October 3, 2020 (UTC)

Lani-Loli, Akano, Kupuna-Wa and Ika-Ika's page articles[]

Now that we know the voice actors of the Quantum Masks 1. Lani-Loli: Richard Steven Horvitz, 2. Akano: Fred Tatasciore, 3. Kupuna-Wa: Cherise Boothe, and 4. Ika-Ika: Zeno Robinson/Fred Tatasciore, do you think we should create the page articles for each of the Quantum Masks? Bluelectro 2.9 (talk) 07:12, October 10, 2020 (UTC)
