Other article?

I've noticed that this page's information has been taken from this article, and I was wondering if we'd just be able to copy and paste the contents of the article to the page (citing the article under a source heading at the bottom of the page if necessary). Would this be allowed, or is it against wiki policy due to plagiarism? -- Danieldude (talk) 12:16, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Copying and pasting would be against our policy: -- BaronZylo (talk) 14:52, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the swift and informative reply. Excuse me; I evidently hadn't read the policy and, lo and behold, the third rule clearly states that generic copying and pasting is disallowed, so my bad. Seeing as there isn't really an alternative option, would I be able to take information from the article (and possibly also some other websites) and add it to the page in my own words (the same applying to other editors of course)? -- Danieldude (talk) 17:40, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
If it's in your own words then I'm going to say yes. Also, when rewriting something in your own words, I'd recommend using this as a guide: BaronZylo (talk) 18:01, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
Cheers for the prompt enlightening response and link to the helpful article (which I'll be sure to check out sometime if I decide to add information from external sources to pages on the wiki in future). -- Danieldude (talk) 18:45, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
