Nitros Oxide, season intro
Survival of the Fastest was the fourth season in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!. It began on the 15th of July, 2021, and ended on the 16th of August, 2021.
Theme[]
This season was themed around sport competitions, including skins with the colors of countries in celebration of the 2020 Summer Olympics. Nitros Oxide returned to Earth once more to challenge the Bandicoots to the Survival of the Fastest, a competition where all Nitros Oxide across the Multiverse band together to challenge a planet. This time, he is ready to fight with the Bandicoots.
At the end of the season, the bitter Oxide revealed that the entire competition was actually a test to see if the Bandicoots were worthy enough to fully compete against him and his Multiverse counterparts.
Season Event Area[]
Before the season started, a parking dock appeared anchored to the Season Event Area. A traffic cone, a racing flag and a Trophy sitting on a purple barrel are placed on the wooden dock. When the season started, Oxide's hovercraft has been parked there and knocked into the sea the traffic cone and the flag. The purple barrel is leaking nitro and the hovercraft's naked engine is producing oxide gas and electric sparks.
Vending Machine Additions[]
Season 4 added 5 new skins as Daily Deals in the Vending Machine, 2 skins as Season Offers and 28 skins as Celebration Offers. Celebration Offers were limited to players based on their country. For example, United States players could only buy the USA Jersey Crash and Coco skins. Players whose countries were not represented in any skins had no Celebration Offers available to them.

Seasonal Gangs[]
The Nitros Oxides and their gangs transformed the Great Gate, Turtle Woods and Bear It into racing tracks. Nitro-propelled traffic signs were floating around the path. Banners were placed on the side, some being advertisement for Dingo's Diner, others depicting Nitros Oxide or the symbol of Velo's Galactic Empire. The atmosphere was polluted by the green fumes of nitro barrels littered on the sides of the path, resulting in an omnipresent green fog.

- Nitros Oxide is featured as main antagonist in both Seasons.
- The Season Event Area is the same for both Seasons. The foreshadowing state of the building for Season 4 was originally also planned for Season 1.[1]
