Crash must avoid the spiked saucers when he comes across them, as touching their bodies will either cause Crash to lose his [[Aku Aku]] mask, or cause him to lose a life without a mask. The spiked saucers typically lay still when Crash encounters them, however, they also move in different directions like up and down and left to right in certain areas of the level. They even appear in pairs of two or three sometimes. Crash can easily defeat these enemies by body slamming them.

In certain areas of the sewer levels like [[Sewer or Later]], Crash will encounter these spiked saucers while climbing across certain areas in the level. They will move in different patterns to try and block Crash from reaching the end of the level. Crash must time their movements perfectly as he is unable to spin them away. The spiked saucers also appear in the firefly levels, with a slightly different appearance. The light on the top of their ship will illuminate a part of Crash's path. They also act similar to the saucers that appear in the sewer levels, but appear in greater numbers this time.
