Welcome to Bandipedia!

Shnurgles are an alien species that appear in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, in the level Crash Landed which is set in planet Bermugula.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time[]

Shnurgles in Crash Bandicoot 4 can be found in the level Crash Landed. Two baby shnurgles in the level are ridden by Crash or Coco, similar to Polar in the level Bears Repeating and his appearances in previous Crash games. Mama shnurgles appear throughout the level and try to trample the bandicoots, with a large stampede of them located in a valley in the gem path. Mama shnurgles are invincible (aside from Aku Aku invincibility), and must be avoided. They won't specifically target the player, blindly charging forward in a straight line.

Shnurgles are edible, as Tawna mentions eating a shnurgle shank in the Sn@xx dimension.

Crash Team Rumble[]

Shnurgles have a small cameo in Crash Team Rumble, being featured on the "Shnurgle" emblem.

Physical Appearance[]

Shnurgles are bipedal and run hunched forward like a t-rex. They have glossy aquamarine skin with a lime green belly, magenta eyes with yellowed scleras and a pointed tail. The soles of their feet are also lime. They have a pointed, beak-like snout with a cream upper lip, a magenta tongue and small stubby teeth. They have a cream spiky frill around the back of their neck and two cream eyestalks protruding from the top of their head, totalling four eyes.

Shnurgles go through significant physical changes as they mature, with Mama shnurgles being significantly bigger and more muscular. Their neck frill gets bigger, extending around their entire neck, and gains a light red hue. Their underbelly becomes cream rather than lime, they gain a dappled green pattern on their backs, their teeth become sharp and they grow two long whisker-like tendrils above their mouth. Their posture changes too, with their tail now acting as a third limb to keep balance.
