Scorpions are enemies that appear throughout the Crash Bandicoot series. They commonly appear on top of gratings which Crash must climb across.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

They first appear in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped in the Arabian-themed levels like Hang 'em High, where Crash will encounter them while moving across the grating in the level. The scorpions will move and back forth across the grating, snapping their pincers while moving around. Crash can dispose of them by spinning them away. They will knock Crash off the grating though if he comes into contact with one without an Aku Aku mask. If Crash jumps into one without first jumping onto the grating, he will be knocked off, even if an Aku Aku mask is protecting him.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex

In Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, Crash will encounter many scorpions in the level Gold Rush. In this level, they will reprise their role from Warped, by hanging on the grating and snapping their pincers at Crash. There will also be mobile scorpions in the level in addition, who will attack Crash in the same manner with their pincers.

Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced

They appear in N-Tranced's Arabian levels. Like in Warped, they move back and forth across the grating, although some of them are located on the top side of the grating.

Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage

They appear as trading cards in the game.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Scorpions reappear in the N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the third game where they reprise the role they had in the original version of that game.
