The Pusher Lab Assistant is a Lab Assistant variant that appears in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, and the N. Sane Trilogy remake of the second game.
Overview[]
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back[]
In Cortex Strikes Back, Pusher Lab Assistants appear in Piston It Away and Spaced Out. They are armed with large metal shields which they shove forward to push Crash back. If you attack them while they are pushing, the attack will do nothing and shove you back. Attack when they have their guard down, however, and you can push them back instead. Do this repeatedly to knock them into a pit to defeat them. Alternatively, you can jump over them and attack them from behind to defeat them instantly.
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex[]
In Wrath of Cortex, Pusher Lab Assistants appear exclusively in Cortex Vortex. Here they wear black lab coats instead of their original white coat. They behave nearly identically to their appearance in Cortex Strikes Back, attempting to push Crash back with their shield. They can be attacked repeatedly from the front to push them into a pit, or jumped over and attacked from behind to instantly defeat them.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy[]
Pusher Lab Assistants reprise their role in the N. Sane Trilogy remake of Cortex Strikes Back with no major changes.
