Prehistoric Playground is a race course in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. It was released as part of the Back N. Time Grand Prix event on August 2nd, 2019. It is an original track created by Beenox, and is based off of several prehistoric levels and elements from across the Crash Bandicoot series.

It is also one of the tracks used for the Lost Cup.

Description

The track was designed on the idea of Fake Crash stealing N. Tropy's staff and going back to prehistoric times. The result is that it would create a "fake" past. This motif is present throughout the track as there are several Fake Crash cavemen and dinosaurs sporting Fake Crash's goofy teeth and eyebrows by the side of the track.[1]

Trivia

  • This race course was inspired by Fossil Fuel Injection, Tire and Ice and La Brea Car Pits from Crash Tag Team Racing.[1]
  • The Chicken/Tyrannosaurus hybrid can first be heard traversing through the thick jungle portion of the track in the first lap. It then appears as a silhouette, sprinting through the same area in the second lap which foreshadows its ambush in the cave seconds later upon the race.
