Crash Bandicoot Orange Gem
The orange gem, also known as the Tourmaline, is one of the six colored gems in Crash Bandicoot and the N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the first game.

Along with the other colored gems, this gem is very powerful and opens up secret areas. The gem can be obtained by breaking all the boxes and not losing a life in Generator Room. It opens up two orange gem paths in Upstream. It was cut from all future games for unknown reasons, making it the only colored gem to suffer such a fate, although it reappears as a prop in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled in the tracks Dragon Mines & Twilight Tour as a prop.

Trivia

  • The Orange gem strangely appears in the alternate ending of the second game, in the N. Sane Trilogy, being loaded into N. Brio's laser installation along with the other colored gems. This is odd because Crash never collects the Orange Gem in the second game.
    • It has been confirmed that it was a mistake during the ExtraLife Charity fundraiser.
