Mr. Crumb is fought as the final boss in Crash Bandicoot (99X) and as a gang boss in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!.

Crash Bandicoot (99X)[]

When Crash Bandicoot enters a haunted mansion, Mr. Crumb commands an army of the undead to stop the trespasser from getting close to him or his treasure. Eventually, he appears as a shadowy figure, pausing for a moment before revealing his true ghostly form. He alternates lunging left and right, but is defeated by well-timed spin attacks from Crash. With Mr. Crumb out of the way, Crash is able to proceed to the treasure that the ghost was protecting.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run![]

Mrcrumbdance

Preferring to take up residence in the Road to Ruin level, Mr. Crumb holds his hat in place, waiting for the player (and the beat to kick in) before starting a jazzy dance routine with a clap of his hands. While the player chases him down, Mr. Crumb raises gravestones from the ground to block the player's path. Occasionally, he will reach inside his hat to summon mummies to attack the player. He also may spit up an ectoplasm projectile, followed by creating temporary duplicates of himself to spit up more projectiles.

As with other bosses in the game, the player must collect Boom Berries and hit Mr. Crumb with them until they have weakened him enough to defeat him using the weapons that would have been crafted for the battle. Mr. Crumb stops his dance when he realises his hat has been knocked off before he gets sucked into a portal that returns him to where he came from.
