Revision as of 10:56, 5 July 2020
Moles are enemies which made their debut in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Moles emerge from the ground in the pits of the Jungle themed levels in groups, and Crash must spin or jump on them in order to advance. One of the jungle levels is named The Pits because of this.
Moles also emerge from the ground in the secret route of the levels, Un-Bearable and Bee-Having. However in "Bee-Having" if Crash is quick enough, he can walk past the area where they spawn before they appear. This is no longer possible in the N. Sane Trilogy since the Moles spawn before Crash has a chance to get past the area where they appear.
Dansu! De Jump! Na Daibouken
A particular mole appears in Dansu! De Jump! Na Daibouken. This mole resides on N. Sanity Island, where it is a thief and steals people's valuables with a hood. It then proceeds to steal a baby Armadillo, to force the parents to give to him the Power Stone, eventually revealing his face. After doing so, Crash grabs its hood, and uses it as a cape, only to get caught in a branch, making him drop a Wumpa Fruit, that he called "Ringo-chan", Apple-chan. It rolls towards a pit, and Crash desperately trying to grabbing, knocking the mole. It is unknown what happened to the latter afterwards.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Moles reappear in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of Cortex Strikes Back where they reprise the roles they had in the original versions of the game. Unlike previously, they are redesigned to accurately resemble moles, and no longer resemble rats, are brown instead of blue, and lack their cyborg eye on one of their eyes. In Un-Bearable, there is a glitch in the bonus challenge, which, if the player falls after defeating them, they will run unto the player out of their hole.
