An icicle (Japanese: つらら Tsurara) is a frozen drizzle of rain; it is a hazard in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Twinsanity, Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage, Crash: Mind Over Mutant, and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the second game where they carry the role of dropping on Crash.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back

Icicles appear in Snow Biz and Cold Hard Crash in the side walkway areas where they look like normal scenery until they drop onto Crash and shatter, making him lose a life or an Aku Aku mask.  To avoid them, Crash must stop next to where they fall and wait for them to fall. They can also activate TNT Crates.

Crash Twinsanity

Icicles make a brief appearance in Crash Twinsanity, but still fall on the player making them lose a life. They are first seen at the beginning of Ice Climb where Crash comes across a snow arch with three icicles above, and if the player comes too close to it, it will fall and shatter.

Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage

Icicles appear in Arctic Cliffs. They will shake and then drop onto the player.

Crash: Mind Over Mutant

Icicles appear once again as shattering hazards, but they only appear in certain segments of the Frozen Coast in climbing areas, where they will be falling through gaps the player needs to hop over to. The player needs to time their jumps as this time, icicles fall infinitely, and still shatter when hitting Crash or falling into a pit. Although they are mostly found in climbing segments, a pair of these can be found falling onto the ground on the path to the Evil Public School.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Icicles reappear in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the second game, where they reprise the same role they had in the original version of that game.
