Radical GoldenWumpa

The fruit as it appears in Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind Over Mutant

Golden Wumpa fruit are a special type of Wumpa fruit that appear throughout the series. What it does depends on which game it's in.

Overview[]

Crash of the Titans[]

In Crash of the Titans, Golden Wumpa fruit are a collectible item occasionally dropped by enemies, spybots, and breakable objects (e.g. crates or plants). They may also be obtained after sacrificing a titan to a large mojo orb. Golden Wumpa fruit grant the player character one extra life.

Crash: Mind Over Mutant[]

Unlike its predecessor, Crash: Mind Over Mutant does not have a lives system. Golden Wumpa fruit instead upgrade the player character's health bar. Both Player 1 and Player 2 receive this benefit. There are fourteen Golden Wumpa fruit in total, hidden in various locations on the map. Often, a specific titan's power is needed to reach them.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled[]

As of the Rustland Grand Prix update, Golden Wumpa fruit occasionally spawn inside crates, causing them to glow. Breaking open these crates will release the fruit, which floats around the track similarly to ghosts. When collected, the player will earn a bonus 200 Wumpa Coins upon completing the race. If it isn't caught in time, it will disappear and respawn in another glowing crate. No more than one Golden Wumpa fruit can be collected by a single player per race, though multiple players can each get one in the same race.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time[]

Golden Wumpa fruit are released from Golden Wumpa fruit crates and life crates. They are worth 25 regular Wumpa fruit.

Crash Team Rumble[]

The Golden Wumpa fruit appears as the icon for Scorer characters. The Golden Wumpa fruit also appears as part of the Wumpa Stash Power. When activated, a Golden Wumpa fruit hologram will appear above the player's head and slowly begin to fill. It takes 30 seconds to fill completely, upon which the player will receive 100 Wumpa fruit which can then be deposited at their team's bank. The Wumpa Stash is stored independently from the player's normal Wumpa capacity, and will not be lost if the player takes damage. However, if the player dies before making a deposit, they will lose the entire Wumpa Stash, even if the hologram was only partially filled. Activating a second Wumpa Stash while the first one is still active will fill the hologram instantly and make the Stash worth 120 Wumpa fruit, with each subsequent activation adding an additional 20 Wumpa fruit to the Stash. Any applicable Gem Boosts will also apply to the Wumpa Stash.

Golden Wumpa fruit crates return in the Wump-a-Rama limited time mode, first introduced in Season 2. Just like in Crash Bandicoot 4, breaking one awards the player with 25 Wumpa fruit.
