Hook, Line, and Sinker is the second story level of Salty Wharf and the eighth main level of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. This is the first story level where Tawna is a playable character and her timeline levels are unlocked after completing this level.

Overview[]

Crash and Coco get captured by pirates, tied up with rope and hung upside down. An unknown bandicoot girl sees them and rushes to their aid. Crash and Coco are eventually rescued, with Coco realizing that their savior is an alternate version of Tawna. Tawna is happy to see Crash and Coco again, and confirms having lost touch with versions of Crash and Coco from her universe. When Coco asks if they died, Tawna denies this and asks what they are collecting. Coco tells her about the Quantum Masks and ends up disappointed when Tawna decides not to join their journey. Tawna explains that she flies solo, but promises to lend a hand whenever she can, using her grappling hook to leap off the pirate ship off on her own journey. Crash and Coco both sigh out of disappointment, with Crash putting his arm around Coco for comfort.
