Wumpashiners are mutant bats, usually enemies in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. They are responsible for the destruction of Dingo's Diner and presumably work for Papa Batfield, a business rival of Dingodile's.

Overview[]

Wumpashiner[]

Regular Wumpashiners are stout, purple bats carrying shotguns that fire mosquitos. The blast can destroy large crates and explosives. After firing, the Wumpashiner may step behind nearby large crates for cover. Dingodile can defeat them with either a spin, a jump, or TNT. They appear in Home Cookin', No Dillo Dallying and Run It Bayou.

Wumpashine Stocker[]

Wumpashine Stockers carry either a basic or TNT crate over their heads. A Stocker carrying TNT will explode if Dingodile touches or spins it; otherwise, it attacks by simply walking over him. If their crate is removed in any way, they turn angry and walk faster. They can be defeated with any attack, except for the vacuum gun on its own. They only appear in Home Cookin'.

Wumpashine Carriers fly back and forth in a set pattern, attempting to drop either a TNT or nitro crate onto Dingodile's head. They can be defeated with TNT or by jumping on their heads. They appear in Home Cookin', No Dillo Dallying and Run It Bayou.

Wumpa Bandit[]

Wumpa Bandits are green, bug-eyed bats that carry sacks of Wumpa Fruit on their backs. Dingodile can bounce on them, but neither one can hurt the other in any way. They only appear in Home Cookin'.

Wumpa Bandits reappear in Crash Team Rumble, referred to as simply "Wumpa Bats", where they are Relic Station rewards on the map Bogged Down. They carry a sack of 1000 Wumpa to your team's bank upon being activated. Wumpa Bats also appear as the boss of the "What's Cookin'?" minigame in Party Mode.

Little Wumpashiners are small bats that carry Wumpa Fruit. They cannot hurt Dingodile in any way. Walking into one will kill it. Similarly to TNT, they can be sucked up using Dingodile's vacuum gun and shot as a projectile at other enemies and obstacles. They only appear in No Dillo Dallying.

Little Wumpashiners reappear in Rumble during the Wumpa Bat boss fight at the end of the "What's Cookin'?" minigame in Party Mode. They act as obstacles, flying back and forth around the map and knocking back players who bump into them.
