They look like green lizards with mechanical heads and a big mechanical frill around their neck. They are a lighter green than the regular lizard and have yellow underbellies as well as light brown stripes going down their backs. The edge of the frill is glowing red in color and logically burns Crash on contact. Fully-mechanical versions are used in the levels Piston It Away and Spaced Out, where they can be defeated by a spin from any direction, whilst the less mechanical counterpart must be slid from under their heads.
Unlike their organic counterparts, they walk around back and forth very quickly. They can only be defeated by a slide attack, since all other attacks make the player come in contact with the big spiky frill, burning them.
