Trivia

  • The level's name is a portmanteau of the word "crate" and the phrase "Great balls of fire!", which was often used in the past as a replacement for "Oh my God!"
  • The name could be a reference to the group Earth, Wind and Fire. Moreover, the game is based on The Elementals.
    • It could also be a reference to the 1957 song, "Great Balls of Fire", by Jerry Lee Lewis.
  • Although Py-Ro has been defeated in the third Warp Room's boss fight, he still causes the fire chasing Crash in this level.
