Crash Bandicoot & Spyro Adventure World was an online browser-based minigame collection on candystand.com, launching some time between April 12th and May 22nd, 2004, and shutting down on April 4th, 2005. Created as a cross-promotion with Nabisco and Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage (as well as its sister game, Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy), the minigames were unlocked by the use of codes found on cards from specially marked packs of Nabisco snack products. The 3D Crash assets used in the game were taken from Crash Twinsanity.

As of March 2016, candystand was rebranded as PCH games, which is currently inactive. Due to this, along with the fact that the promotional cards stopped being distributed long ago, these games are no longer accessible. No archives were known to exist, leaving all 7 minigames as lost media.

On the 22nd of December, 2023, most of the game's files were recovered by a former developer and added to the Flashpoint archive, making them available to play once again. While the Spyro minigames are still lost, the hub world and all of the Crash-themed games have been fully recovered.[1]

Explore The Islands[]

Explore The Islands is the game's hub world. You play as a generic human character, being able to choose between a boy and a girl design. The games objective is to collect all 8 character statues scattered throughout the islands - Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Coco Bandicoot, Hunter, Dr. Cortex, Victor (referred to as "Wicked Twins"), Dingodile and Sparx. Being the game's hub, there are also entrances scattered around to play the other minigames - though the player can also just use the menu to access any of the minigames at any time.

In order to collect the statues, the player can walk around and collect the sanddollars scattered around the island - they can use these sanddollars to buy red balls from vending machines. These red balls can be thrown at targets in order to earn more sanddollars. Enemies, namely Spiders and robots, also wander the island - these enemies cannot be defeated and must be avoided instead. Also scattered across the islands are Arcade Tents - completing the challenges within these tents rewards the player with a key or with more sanddollars. The color-coded keys are used to open doors to enter rooms containing the character statues.

Minigames[]

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart Rally[]

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart Rally is a simple racing game. The player can choose to race as Crash, Nina Cortex, Dr. Cortex or Coco, who have varying stats between them. You can steer using the left and right arrow keys, slow down and speed up using the up and down keys, and use items by pressing the space bar. The player must finish in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in order to proceed to the next course.

Crash Bandicoot RocketMania[]

In Crash Bandicoot RocketMania, the player controls Crash riding on a jetpack. Move Crash around by moving your mouse, control your speed using the up and down arrow keys, and left click to fire a laser. Guide Crash safely to the end of the level to win.

Several hazards will hinder your progress along the way - water spouts, hot air balloons, tall rocks and other obstacles must be avoided, as well as enemies to be defeated. Enemies include Uka Uka (erroneously referred to as Aku Aku), Victor (referred to as "Evil Twin"), The Mite Mech and Crocodiles. Your fuel will gradually run out over time, and your laser will also run out the more you use it - collect the fuel and energy pickups to recharge them. Your fuel gauge also doubles as a health bar, losing fuel if you get hit. You can also pick up Wumpa fruit to increase your score, as well as Gold Relics which act as a temporary multiplier.

Smack-A-Dingo[]

Smack-A-Dingo is a simple game of whack-a-mole featuring Crash characters. You play as Crash, using Cortex as a hammer. Click on Dingodile when he pops out of the holes to earn points and avoid hitting Coco. As the levels progress, some of the Dingodiles will throw fireballs at you as they emerge from the hole - hit them before they can throw them to avoid taking damage. You have 10 hit points - getting hit 10 times will result in a game over.

Raygun Alley[]

Raygun Alley is a shooting gallery game, similar to gameplay segments from Crash Twinsanity. You play as Cortex, and must shoot at the enemies by clicking on them. Enemies include Ant Drones, clones of Victor, and the Mecha-Bandicoot. There are also collectibles that can be shot to pick up - these include a clock that adds a few seconds to the timer, a time bomb that removes time from the timer, a floating raygun that grants more ammo, and stars which give bonus points.

Lost Minigames[]

The following Spyro-themed minigames are still lost.
