Items in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! are collectible objects. Most items are used to craft Portal Weapons to battle Bosses and Henchmen, and to repair and upgrade stations at Coco's Base. Others contribute towards progression through the game's missions and its Seasons.

Wumpa Fruits[]
- Main article: Wumpa Fruit
"Crash's favorite food. Can be collected on runs. This succulent treat is purple on the inside."
Wumpa Fruits can be found floating or in crates in any level, and regenerate with each lap of Collection Runs. They are the base for crafting Portal Weapons, although they can also be exchanged for Trophies at the Tiki Head.
Purple Crystals[]
- Main article: Crystal
"Once used for evil, now used for good. Purple Crystals allow you to speed up production and buy all sorts of useful things!"
Purple Crystals can be earned through leveling up, playing Gem Runs (after obtaining its gem first), rewards in the seasonal Passes and Team Leaderboards.

Power Gems[]

"Defeat Henchmen to earn Power Gems. Power Gems unlock lands and repair buildings."
Power Gems are used for story progression. They unlock new Gangs, new levels and new base buildings. More Power Gems are added to the game's total with major updates. The current total as of version 1.50.67 is 200.
Experience Points[]
"Get Experience Points (XP) by beating henchmen and more. Once you've earned enough, you'll level up!"
Experience Points can be earned by completing a Battle Run, playing a Survival Run or completing tasks on the Mission Board. The following table lists all levels, their required points and their rewards.

Trophies are the main collectible items for Seasons. They can be earned in Battle Runs in rare crates or by defeating a Boss or Henchman, and their amount increased by using specific Skins. They can also be earned in Survival Runs and by collecting Mojo for the Mission Board. Trophies are reset at the beginning of each Season.
Steps[]
"Run to earn Steps. They can be converted into Trophies in the Tiki Head. Phew!"
Steps Are collected in the game while running in Collection and Battle Runs. They accumulate with each run, but their total amount can be lost by dying without paying (watching an ad or 9 ) for a replay. They can exchanged for Trophies at the Tiki Head.
Mojo[]

"During each season, you can earn Mojo by completing Missions in the Mission Board. The more Mojo you get the more rewards you unlock."
Mojo is reset at each new activation of the Mission Board.

Eggs[]
Eggs are laid by mutagen chickens at the coops after feeding them specific ingredients. They can be sold for Wumpa Fruits from the Silo at Coco's Base or traded for Mojo at the Mission Board.
Parts[]
Parts are used to repair and upgrade the various stations at Coco's Base. Like ingredients, they can be obtained from breaking crates marked with their symbol during Collection Runs. Each level has a limited amount of Parts and takes time to regenerate them. They can be sold for Wumpa Fruits from the Silo at Coco's Base.

- All portal weapon types are based off of previously seen weapons: the Serums are inspired by N. Brio's potions, the Bombs have been present since the Jet ski levels of Crash Bandicoot: Warped, the Rayguns are inspired by Cortex's own ray gun and the bazookas by the Fruit Bazooka.
