Crash: Aku Aku and the Icefall) is an Italian language Crash Bandicoot comic, commissioned by Sierra Entertainment as part of the promotional campaign for Crash: Mind Over Mutant and created by students of the Milan Comics School.[1] Serving as a prequel to the game, it details Crash and Coco's journey to rescue Aku Aku from Neo Cortex.

Plot[]
The comic begins by introducing Crash and Coco Bandicoot in their house: the former is eating Wumpa fruit and distracting the latter from work with his munching. Suddenly, Crunch barges in, saying that Aku Aku has been kidnapped, and that Neo Cortex is behind it. To find him, Crash and Coco follow a trail of "N" emblems, eventually reaching Mount Rat.
In the mountain, Crash and Coco find Nitrus Brio's lair. Brio declares his intentions to test his new acid on the duo, and as Crash braces for a battle, Coco begins hacking into the lair's computer. While Crash defeats N. Brio and takes his acid blaster, his sister discovers that Aku Aku is being kept in a lab on top of Mount Rat, with Cortex intending to use radiation to nullify the mask spirit's powers. When they reach the top, Cortex decides to taunt them through a speaker, saying that they'll never break through the frozen waterfall and will be forced to witness their friend's end. A Ratcicle appears and chases after the siblings, but Crash manages to hop onto it and tame it.
Using N. Brio's blaster, Crash destroys the frozen waterfall, and Cortex escapes, swearing vengeance. The bandicoots free Aku Aku and return home.
