Combo King is an award in Crash of the Titans. It is earned in each level by hitting enemies a certain number of times in a row, without taking damage. The required combo can range from 15 to 80, depending on the level. In order for a combo to qualify, the player must reach the required number of hits and then not deal or receive any damage for three seconds. If the player takes damage within that time frame, the combo will be lost, even if the threshold was already met.

Combo King is needed to get a Gold Idol, along with destroying the three spybots in the level and getting Minion Master. Additionally, for every ten hits in the combo, the player will receive that many Mojo times 10 (e.g. a combo of 20 awards 200 Mojo). Spinning is one of the best methods for getting Combo King, but some special moves, like that of the RhinoRoller, are also effective, as they deal lots of hits at once. Enemies that are defeated but have not vanished can be hit to extend a combo, both for stunned titans and for defeated minions.

While Combo King is not kept in Crash: Mind Over Mutant, the combo mechanic was retained, with some changes. The combo will no longer disappear if no hits are dealt for a few seconds, and no longer awards Mojo on its own. As the combo rises, so too does the player's Combo Multiplier, which magnifies the value of all Mojo collected, up to a maximum of 20x with a combo of 117. This multiplier operated independently from the Mojo Multiplier item, which further doubles the value of Mojo for a short time. Obtaining Combo Multipliers of 10x, 15x and 20x are required to complete the Optional Missions "Would you like fries with that?", "Break Them To It Gently" and "Chuck is that you?", respectively. If the player takes damage or falls out of bounds, both the combo and the multiplier will be lost. Projectiles from the Crash Mask in Co-op mode do not count towards the combo, nor does throwing an enemy with a TK.
