Spyro! Crash! Nina has kidnapped the Professor and Coco!

Blinky (also known as Blink in later Spyro games) is a character from the Spyro the Dragon series, who made his debut in the crossover title, Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage, as well as its sister game Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy.

History with the Crash Bandicoot series[]

Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage[]

Blinky has a minor role in Purple. He first appears as an NPC in Wumpa Jungle, where he calls Crash a "stupid orange creature" and threatens to tell Spyro about him, believing that Crash is working with Ripto. He later appears in a cutscene at the end of Fire Mountains, where he emerges from underground to warn Crash and Spyro that the Professor and Coco have been kidnapped by Nina. He reappears for the final time as an NPC in Dragon Castles, where he apologises to Crash for insulting him. He can also appear by obtaining his Trading Card in Orange and trading it to Purple via link cable.

Characteristics[]

Personality[]

Blinky is a self-assured boy, and is always up for a challenge. He also suffers from "fresh-air-a-phobia", a crippling fear of being above ground, which means he spends most of his days in underground tunnels and caves.

Physical Appearance[]

Blinky is a brown mole, just like his uncle, the Professor. He's taller and thinner than his uncle, being much younger. He has a beige belly and muzzle, a large, round, pink nose, brown eyes, thick black eyebrows and small round ears on the sides of his head. He wears golden goggles resting on his forehead, a black harness, purple gloves with white cuffs and silver laser gun attachments, and yellow runners with orange laces and brown soles.
