Bees are large enemies that appear in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. They only appear in the levels Diggin' It and Bee-Having. They are found inside striped bee-hives and come out to chase Crash whenever he passes and although bees can be defeated, bee-hives can't. In Diggin' It, when one bee chases Crash you can spin it away, although another will just take its place. The best thing to do would be to run to an area beyond where the bees are willing to go. In Bee-Having, though the bees come out in groups, which makes it almost impossible to spin away all of them away at once, but now you can hide in the soil away from them. A great way to get lots of lives is to spin the swarm of bees in one go, you will get 1 life only if all bees are defeated in one go.
The Bees make a brief return in Crash Twinsanity in the level Totem Hokum, where at first Cortex is attacked by a swarm of bees. Soon after, a Beehive falls upon his head and gets stuck.
