Conjectural title
No official name has been given to this subject in any licensed Crash Bandicoot media; as such, a descriptive name was chosen.

Bandifish are enemies appearing in Crash Bandicoot: Warped and the N. Sane Trilogy remake of the third game.

Appearances

Crash Bandicoot: Warped

They are only found in the prehistoric level Dino Might!, hopping around in the water and blocking the path.

This fish has Crash's head, is orange colored and has a blue tail resembling Crash's pants, and it can also spin like Crash does. With the prehistoric setting, this likely implies that this is an early ancestor to Crash himself that has not evolved yet. The concept art claims that they are indeed a prehistoric Crash, as it is written "Prehistoric Crash" next to them.

If Crash gets hit by a Bandifish, the fish will drag him under the water, possibly eating them. However, if Crash touches a Bandifish while both are spinning, he will be flung away from it with no damage.

When encountering these enemies while performing the time trial, it's best to slide jump over them and quickly execute the Death Tornado Spin to avoid them, as waiting for the right timing to jump on them can waste a lot of time.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

The Bandifish reprise their role in the N. Sane remake of Warped, with no significant changes.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

There are two bandifish as cameos in Nitro-Fueled. In the watery section of Dingo Canyon in the canyon not far from the starting line, a waterfall can be seen beside the track. A bandifish can be seen flopping around nearby the waterfall. Another bandifish can be found in Blizzard Bluff, affixed to a plaque on the shelter over the bridge.
